When students are tardy to any class, they have to scan in their ID card in the front office.  On their fifth tardy, an administrator counsels them regarding our policy and gives them a final warning.  At their 6th tardy the same thing happens but includes being assigned after-school detention (this repeats for 7, 8, and 9 tardies).  If someone gets 10 or more tardies, they receive in-school suspension.  They continue getting assigned to in-school suspension each time they are tardy after that.  Everybody goes back to having a clean slate at the beginning of each quarter.

In addition to this, we have been running a first period sweep.  After the bell rings for first period, we stop all students and send them to the office.  UHS students go and get a pass from their attendance office and report to class.  Rincon students go to the attendance office and swipe their cards.  The normal consequences listed above are used, but they are also sent to the cafeteria for the remainder of first period.  This ensures that those students are not interrupting their first period class and it also gives many of them an incentive to hustle in the mornings.  We have actually seen students running across the amphitheatre to avoid sweep!
